Public welcome to all Special Event weekend campovers. This will be your only chance to camp at Sleepy Hollow with your horse. Please join us!

Feb 6th - Annual Meeting, Potluck & Auction

Victor Township Hall, 6843 E Alward Rd, Laingsburg, MI

Noon Set-up followed by a social hour ~ 2:00pm Potluck Dinner ~ 3:15pm Horsey Items Auction. Following auction entertainment by Dan Crampton and Rex Battestilli. Please bring own table service and a dish to pass. Family, friends and guests are welcome. Door prize drawing for members.

Parking lot cleanup, ramp touch up and trail debris & maintenance. The Park's Gator is down so bring your ATV, garden rakes, chain saw, water bottle and a snack to share. Sandwiches provided. Apr 18th - The Rotten Egg Hunt

May 1st- Plow Day/Fun Day

Watch draft horse teams work our wildlife food plots. A unique chance to view our rural heritage. *New this year--this is your opportunity to drive a draft team! Climb aboard a wagon, grab the reins and be a teamster!  Informal fun pull at 1pm. Obstacle course.  Public wagon rides - donation Adults $2, Children $1. Lunch concession will be available. Vera Thornton's original print of 2009 Plow Day to be unveiled and displayed. Sue Chant's tasty cinnamon rolls will be there...don't miss out on this special treat! Jul 9th - 11th - Drive in the Park

Fundraiser for SHTRA.

Cart driving, Draft horse, and regular horse wagon train on park blacktop. Don't miss this unique opportunity to ride your horse in the wagon train procession on an approx 7 mile trip. Wagon train starts at 10:30am in the staging area. Outriders will be permitted to ride along or enjoy the trails. Potluck feast at 2:30 pm. Campfire & Rustic camping on Friday and Sat. for $12.00 a rig. Register at the Horseman’s Staging area.Sunday driving on the blacktop and old road. Trail driving restricted to expert driver w/one horse cart w/tires and brakes. Donations to SHTRA. Trail riders, whose horses are unaccustomed to carts, there will be no carts on the East Loop.

Jul 23rd - 25th - The DAMN Ride-The Dennis Austin Memorial Night Ride

Fundraiser for SHTRA.

All weekend - FUN and FESTIVITIES!!!

Friday - Come and enjoy a campfire and a ride at dusk.

Saturday - 10am BEGINNER'S CMO  Learn the ins and outs of this fun sport at the clinic then compete in a timed course with other beginners. Prizes & certificates will be given at the end of the event at the Awards Ceremony. Clinic cost of $10 includes "How To CMO" booklet, instructional clinic and Short Course entry fee. Bring your own orienteering compass. Fundraiser for SHTRA-100% of the entry fees from this event go to SHTRA for their stewardship of the trails at Sleepy Hollow. Sunday - 10am THE GREAT SLEEPY HOLLOW TREASURE HUNT  Get a "Treasure Map" with clues to find hidden treasure chests along the trail. The person who finds all the treasure chests in the least amount of time wins. Treasure chests will be at horse height so there will be no need to dismount.  Event sponsored by: Sleezy Barb Horsewear

Saturday & Sunday- Fun & Games in the Staging Area, Poker Runs on the Trail, Scavenger hunt, Glow stick moonlight ride, Glow stick Poker Run!!! and other fun games. Pancake breakfast each morning. Picnic Potluck at 6:00pm Saturday.  SHTRA will provide the brats and buns. Bring a dish to pass and your own table service. Saturday evening the 2nd Annual Stick Horse Race will be held after supper. You must name your stick horsey. Decoration of stick optional. SATURDAY EVENING - LIVE ENTERTAINMENT - The Singing Cowboys-Dan Crampton & Rex Battestilli. Camping available all weekend in the staging area-$12/night. There will be a camping fee for non-workbee members. Must RSVP for Moonlight Ride.

Horse drawn wagon rides, pumpkin games & costumed riders. The Headless Horseman and Katrina will be riding at noon. 3pm Potluck. Evening campfire and Saturday overnight camping for Spooky Ride. Volunteers needed for heading, helping and cooking.

Oct 10th - SHTRA Halloween Spooky Ride

Come ride the trails through lots of "Spooky" obstacles! You and your horse can trick-or-treat for candy! All Adults and Kids welcome! Costumes for horse and rider are encouraged, but are optional. Riders under 18 must wear a helmet.

$10.00 per rider donation includes Free Hotdogs, Cider, Doughnuts for the riders! (or for a small donation from non-riders!)

Your $10.00 donation helps us keep the Sleepy Hollow Horse Trails open for horses!
