President Marsha Putnam called meeting to order at 6:50 P.M. at the Brown residence.
Directors present: Marsha Putnam, Gale Moore, Gary Fortin, Pat Brown, Carrie Barr, and Mike Wood.
Directors absent: Connie Frey, Sue Chant, Barb Drake, Mary Mallory, Lonnie Buck, Jackie Fisher, Chanda Donnan and Val Lau.
Members present: None
Marsha presented the agenda which was accepted by all.
Marsha presented the President’s report including the following updates from Tim. The gator issue remains tabled along with the greater issue of our association’s access to DNR equipment. A porta potty was placed in the East parking area. Tim asked that we try it out as an alternative to a permanent outhouse. The manure bunker is a priority item for us to complete. Our use of the abandoned road for horse back riding has not been secured.
Marsha updated the Board on CIS and Greenway’s non-motorized transportation advocacy. Marsha thanked the members who have been attending.
The Board discussed campovers. Turn out has been challenging. The Board discussed ways to increase turn out including advertising beyond the web site and email alerts. The topic was tabled.
Marsha reviewed the itinerary for Damn Ride Weekend. Marsha asked Mike to send an email alert to members and an article on Damn Ride Weekend to the local papers.
The Board discussed Drive in the Park and discussed possible routes. Gary is working out the final route with Tim.
The Board discussed riding in Ovid Carriage Day Parade to promote the Association and Icabod Crane Day.
Mike Wood covered the minutes of the June 8th meeting. Upon a motion by Carrie as supported by Gale the minutes of June 8th were approved.
Pat Brown presented the Treasurer’s report. Receipts totaled $ 130 and expenses totaled $ 191.57 leaving an ending balance in the checking account of $ 2,582.07. Certificate balances totaled $ 28,000 before accrued interest.
Upon a motion by Gale Moore, as supported by Gary Fortin, the Treasurer’s Report was unanimously approved.
The next meeting will be September 15th, 6:30 PM at the Brown residence.
Upon a Motion by Mike Wood, as supported by Gale Moore the meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:15.
