President Marsha Putnam called meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. at the Park Staging Area.
Directors present: Marsha Putnam, Gary Fortin, Gale Moore, Linda Kraai, Carrie Barr and Mike Wood.
Directors absent: Jackie Fisher, Lonnie Buck, Val Lau, Marsha Putnam, Chanda Donnan, Barb Drake, Sue Chant, Pat Brown and, Mary Mallory.
Members present: None
Board Members reviewed the agenda supplied by President Putnam in advance, which was accepted by all. A quorum was not present. All actionable items were tabled until the October Meeting.
Mike Wood reviewed the minutes of the August 9th meeting.
Mike covered communications from members including a request to reroute the trail on the East Loop south of the bridge, in the forest, at the trails steepest part. A member commented that this section of the trail was hard for some horses to navigate due to the rise and footing. Gale Moore agreed to add this section to the list of trail reroutes for approval and presentation to the Park Supervisor. Until a reroute is approved and constructed, it was noted that this part of the trail is wide enough to accommodate traversing the rise/fall in a switch-back pattern.
Gale Moore reviewed plans for the work bee of September 17th. We will be completing the alternate creek crossing at the bridge on the East Loop. We will also be removing brush that is growing over the trail on the East Loop.
Carrie supplied color copies of a map showing the trail expansion. Carrier reported that the expansion was moving forward with no opposition communicated to date.
Gary reviewed plans for Ichabod Crane Day. Diane Karsten will be contacted on the games area and manpower needs. Mike Wood will send out the press release and email to members.
The next Board Meeting is October 16th, 6:30 PM at the Brown residence.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:55 PM.
