Sleepy Hollow State Park, located 20 minutes north of Lansing, contains more than 2,700
acres and is situated on Price Road off US-127, near Laingsburg and south of St. Johns. The Little Maple River winds
its way through the woods, fields and gentle rolling hills of the park while 410 acre Lake Ovid is nestled in the middle
of it all. The park offers year-round opportunity for recreation.
Sleepy Hollow has a 181 site campground with electric service and modern restroom/shower facilities. Also available are 16 miles of trails for cross country skiing, hiking, mountain biking, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and dog sledding.
More than 228 species of birds have been recorded in Sleepy Hollow, from the common Blue Jay to the Eastern Blue Bird. During migration, look for waterfowl on Lake Ovid. The rarely recorded Bonaparte's Gull and Bald Eagle have also been sighted.
