Work Bee Projects

Here are some the Work Bee Projects we would like to work on in 2010. We really could use your help. If any of these projects interest you, please come out and lend a hand.

  • Dead Elm Gulch area - 3 gully repairs on the north and south slopes.
  • East Loop - North end near Taft Rd - gully repairs.
  • West Loop - at Old Upton Rd - marker/rocks at exposed culvert.
  • West Loop - just west of staging area (near where the trail joins the hiking trail/cement culvert) - fill 5inch metal pipe hole that was part of an old lane gate.
  • West Loop - Remove "V" posts and replace Caution signs at Taft Rd.
  • Leanin' Poplars area - muddy trail.
  • Staging Area - East Lot - dry well.
  • Both Loops - trim thorny bush areas.

We need your help with Kubota's, bobcats, shovels and garden rakes.  ATV's are needed to get out to those thorny areas. Handy tools will be saws, prunners/nippers and thick gloves. A Lunch Lady is needed to help make worker's super sandwiches.  Volunteers with over 4 hours of work earn one overnight camping fee.
