Sleepy Hollow is located in eastern Clinton County, 6 miles south of M-21 and 9 miles east of US-127 on Price Rd. Use the Price Rd exit #91 on US-127.
There are 6.5 miles of well marked equestrian trails that wander through grassland areas, meadows, pine and hardwood stands, gentle rolling hills and creeks. The East and West trail loops can be ridden separately or combined as one large loop.
Horseman's Facilities include:
- Day Use Staging Area
- 30 Picket Poles
- Certified Well w/ Hand Pump
- Picnic Tables and grill
- Covered Picnic Pavilion
- Handicap Accessible Toilet
- Information Board w/ maps, events & trail news
Sleepy Hollow State Park provides facilities for picnicking, 181 non-equestrian camping sites, fishing, swimming, boating and 16 miles of hiking and biking trails. Hunting is allowed according to State Park rules and seasons. All vehicles need a Michigan Recreation Passport. These are available at the entrance booth and campground office.
Sleepy Hollow Trail Riders Association, Inc., a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization, was formed in 1997 to create and maintain these equestrian trails and staging area. Your membership fees and various fund raising events support the trails for public equestrian use. Your support of SHTRA is welcomed and shows that you care about these trails.
- Please ride only on the marked equestrian trails.
- Do not tie to trees.
- Removal of manure and soiled hay to adjacent weeds is appreciated.
- Deep snow closes access road.
